Losing Nemo

Woke up on the sofa, well actually woke up at about three in the morning in bed but was so restless, I slept on the sofa so as not to disturb Kez with my fidgeting. I wrapped myself in my, well our now, comfort blanket and dozed until about seven in the morning, where I was greeted with a lush bacon butty and mug of tea.

Spent most of the day painting my 3rd bedroom with white emulsion. Just about finished after going round and round with a roller. The people before me had a deep sea mural painted across all four walls. Really good with a real deep green as the sea and loads of colourful fish like the cast of Finding Nemo, those sorts of colours.

You can guess how many coats it took to finally cover up. However, all done now and it looks pretty funky, if not a little sterile. But it is for my home gym so that is how it needs to be. As for Nemo, no bugger is ever going to find him under five coats of paint... :o)

Cannot really recall doing anything else today, except walking to the pub with Kez for lunch but they had stopped serving five mins before we got there, so we nipped to Sainsburys and bought some of that fresh cooked chicken and had chicken and stuffing rolls for lunch on the garden patio. Nice..

After that just more painting...

But now off to the White Lion in Pailton, a village just down the road a bit, for a spot of supper and a few beers. In basic need of a good old chill out. It has been a hard days work, seeing as I hate painting so much.

Dog the size of an horse

I went for a 4 mile run today, only to come face to face with a Great Dane. His owner kept saying "he won't hurt you". I just kept thinking "get this filthy beast away from me".

Had a massive workout in the gym. Really pushed it, so feel good for that.

Spoke to the council tax people to try and get them to drop me a band. Currently an E and just seems too high.

Then went to the 3rd stage of a selection process for a job that I want. It was gruelling. A full 5 hours. Hopefully get through it though.

Off out to an Indian restaurant in Dunchurch, with Kez. Her treat. Looking forward to relaxing for the evening and chilling out. My head is in bits and my muscles ache.

Treacle Pedalling

Woke up at a normal time this morning. Lovely satin sheets wrapped around me. I did not want to get out of bed, but hunger and the need to pee finally won me over.

Did a 12 mile bike ride today. My bike is a dual suspension beast that some idiot in Halfords sold me. Why oh why did he not ask me what I wanted it for?? I would have been far better off with a much lighter model, the dual suspension makes me feel like I am on a rocking horse. And the weight of the thing feels like I am pedalling through treacle. The gears don't seem to make any difference at all, so totally pointless as a bike and would make Mr Raleigh and his Chopper turn in his grave.

Tried to run as well today, but managed just under 2 miles before giving up. Today was supposed to be a rest day, afterall. The bike ride just about killed me.

I have decided to start a running club. We will meet at Draycote Water at 10am and run together. It's soul destroying running alone. I have asked for a bit on the Draycote Sailing Club forum, to promote my new club but have yet to hear back.

Nice to catch a bit of sunshine today and managed to nip up the town for a few bits. A few holiday fots actually that I wanted printing, to jazz up the wall in the study. I now have my babe smiling down at me as I do stuff on the computer. Hmmm, on second thoughts.... LOL :O)

Right, must dash, Kez (my babe) is due round at seven and I need to dust and hoover, and then make myself look half presentable.

Ciao 4 now..

Hard Run

Woke up this morning at something past five. Why oh why!!!!

Got a bit of stuff done around the house, worked the weights in the gym and then went for a run. did about six miles and then 200 tummy crunches. Don't ask me why I did the crunches, just thought it would do me some good.

I then walked up to the town to go on the library internet. No luck, their whole suite of PC's was down, so just loafed about for a bit and then walked back home. A good 6 mile round trip so all good.

My own PC is now back on line {{hoorah}} and I have so far managed to install stuff without the usual meltdown due to me not reading instructions - doh!

Current weight - 12 stone 4 pounds - target weight 11 stone 13 pounds
