Death by Barbell


Did a 10 mile run today around Draycote (above). Killer and really didn't feel like it for the first 3 miles, but the endorphins started to kick in after that, and the pain dulled to a pleasurable hum. Did the first 5 miles in 43 minutes, which is better than last week at 45 mins, so very pleased with that. The hills killed me off though. Need to get up them a bit quicker to get that lap time down to 40 mins.

Went up the town for a bit and then came back and cut the lawn and did a bit of gardening, and then hit the gym and did 200 stomach crunches and worked on my chest. It was nearly death by barbell because I kept going until I could go no further and then had to somehow get the thing off me. I was sandwiched between the barbell and the bench and had to wriggle the weights down my body and off the end. Not good

Did not hear about my job today. Hopefully get some good news tomorrow.

Kez is coming round later tonight so hopefully that will be fun. I just need to rest my aching muscles but I am sure I can rise to the occasion... (o:
