Butterflies....

Start my new job on Monday, slightly nervous about it for some reason. It will be good and hopefully will be my last job. This will be my 16th employer. I cannot believe how many jobs I have had!!!! Some have been truly shite and some have been really good. Funny how the crappy ones were probably not about the job, but more about the people/person who was managing me or the operation.

The saying, 'people don't leave their jobs, they leave their managers' is so so true.

Quite a good day, saw my folks this morning and had a cuppa and chat. Then went to see Trev in the butchers. He is my brother-in-law. Had a good old chat with him and then Brett, my mate, came round for the afternoon. Good to chill out in the sunshine and have a good old natter.

Kez came round in the evening but something is not right between us and has not been for a week or so now. Cannot quite put my finger on it but she is being a bit funny with me for some reason. I am sure it will all come out in the wash. Unfortunate distraction though. And the balance of our holiday to Fuerteventura is due now, so she needs to snap out of it like yesterday, or there will be no holiday. Life is too short for being silly.

Got my car into the garage finally, and now have a VW Polo to buzz around in for a week or so. Quite a nippy little thing and loads of fun, if not a bit basic. It has wind-down windows!!!! Have not been in a car with wind-down windows for years.... Too much effort, so I just put the cold air blower on full blast when I get hot.

Right, about to enjoy my last few days of freedom!

Current weight - 12 stone 3 pounds - target weight 11 stone 13 pounds - lost 1 pound across the week and probably ran off 4,000 calories - that sucks!!!!!
